What's In a Name

Mason Southerly was formed by sixth generation North Carolinians with a passion for the southeast coast we’re fortunate enough to call home. A place near and dear to our family, “Mason’s” Inlet, is a beautiful area of the coast where the Atlantic Ocean meets the intracoastal waterway in Wilmington, NC. We got engaged here, our youngest took his first steps here, and we have countless memories with friends and family here; so it’s only natural that when we came up with the idea of an “American Made for the Southern Soul” apparel company that “Mason” made its way into our company’s name. On any given day in the summer, especially during the week when it’s empty and quiet, you can usually find us at Mason’s Inlet with our two boys. We get to sit and relax while they are out exploring and learning about all of the wildlife this area has to offer.
