If you’ve ever spent time on the water, you know the feeling — that heart-pounding moment when your line goes tight, the reel starts screaming, and you just know it’s the fish of a lifetime.
This design was inspired by one of those unforgettable days. Our son hooked into something massive under the Figure Eight Bridge — line peeling, excitement sky-high — until it suddenly went slack. We think the line caught on a piling, but he still wonders what it was to this day.
That’s the beauty of The One That Got Away — it lives bigger every time you tell the story. Around here, that’s part of the legend.
How to Help!
Tell the story. Louder each time and practice dramatic pauses. Keep that “it was this big” hand gesture strong and confident. Blame the line, the lure, or the current — never yourself.
